Hotel Martinique
ROLE
Creative Direction, Branding, Print Materials
Honoring a New York Icon
Since 1897, Hotel Martinique has stood on Broadway as a masterpiece of Beaux-Arts architecture, with its grand marble staircases and intricate mosaic floors telling stories of old New York. Refreshing its visual identity wasn’t about reinventing—it was about amplifying the elegance that’s always been there.
A Pattern with a Story
I designed a custom pattern inspired by the hotel’s iconic mosaic floors, sweeping staircases, and ornate flourishes—a nod to its Art Nouveau roots. Layered within the design are subtle references to the Statue of Liberty, grounding the identity in the spirit of the city. The result is intricate yet fluid, capturing the movement and energy of both the hotel and New York itself.
Timeless, Yet Adaptable
Luxury should never feel rigid. The design is bold enough to make a statement but flexible enough to live across every touchpoint—from print materials and digital assets to wallpaper and textiles—ensuring the hotel’s story is carried seamlessly through every detail.
